{"id":15322,"date":"2024-07-26T09:29:13","date_gmt":"2024-07-26T06:29:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/support.simplbooks.ee\/?post_type=ht_kb&#038;p=15322"},"modified":"2025-09-17T15:28:38","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T12:28:38","slug":"importing-sales-invoices-from-a-csv-file","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/support.simplbooks.ee\/en\/kasutusjuhendid\/importing-sales-invoices-from-a-csv-file\/","title":{"rendered":"Importing Sales Invoices from a CSV File"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Previously created sales invoices in other software can also be imported from a CSV file, but if possible, we recommend preferring the import of invoices from an <a href=\"https:\/\/support.simplbooks.ee\/en\/kasutusjuhendid\/importing-sales-invoices-in-e-invoice-format-from-an-xml-file\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">e-invoice (XML)<\/a> format file.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-label su-label-type-success\">\u25cf<\/span> Required data for importing from a CSV file:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Invoice number<\/li>\n<li>Currency name<\/li>\n<li>Client name<\/li>\n<li>Client registration number &#8211; optional, but useful to add for a legal entity client<\/li>\n<li>Client street address<\/li>\n<li>Article name (= information reflected in the &#8220;content&#8221; field on the invoice line)<\/li>\n<li>Quantity<\/li>\n<li>Unit<\/li>\n<li>Article price (= unit price reflected in the &#8220;price&#8221; field)<\/li>\n<li>VAT percentage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<span class=\"su-label su-label-type-success\">\u25cf<\/span> If the invoice has multiple lines, all the above-mentioned data must be filled in for all lines.<\/p>\n<span class=\"su-label su-label-type-success\">\u25cf<\/span> After adding the necessary data to the file, save it with the <strong>\u201cSave As\u201d<\/strong> option and in the format \u201c<strong>CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)<\/strong>. Do not open this saved file before importing it into SimplBooks!
