Price offers allow you to create and send properly formatted offers to customers quickly and easily. The system lets you track the status of each offer and convert it into the appropriate next document \u2013 such as a sales order, purchase order, proforma invoice, or sales invoice \u2013\u00a0 with just a few clicks. The lines on the offer are identical to those on a sales invoice, but no accounting entries are generated<\/strong>, meaning price offers don’t affect accounting. When inventory items are added to a price offer, stock levels are not checked and the items are not reserved.<\/p>\n

Enter the offer details in the same format as they should appear on the sales invoice. If you want to use items on the offer rows, they must be entered in advance (Warehouse -> Items<\/a>). Once the customer has confirmed the offer, you can generate a sales order, proforma invoice<\/a>, purchase order or sales invoice from it.<\/p>\n\u25cf<\/span> You can generate the next document from the offer via the Actions<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Explanation of offer statuses<\/strong><\/div>

  1. Un<\/strong>sent<\/strong> \u2013 the price offer has not been sent to the customer and no invoice has been created.<\/li>\n
  2. Finished<\/strong> \u2013 an invoice has been created from the price offer. The price offer can no longer be edited.<\/li>\n
  3. Sent<\/strong> \u2013 the offer has been sent to the customer, but no invoice has been created yet. The offer can still be edited.<\/li>\n
  4. Lost<\/strong> \u2013 no invoice was created from the offer during its \u201ccreated\u201d to \u201cvalid until\u201d period. The offer can still be edited and an invoice can be created from it.<\/li>\n
  5. Cancelled<\/strong> \u2013 the offer was cancelled by the user who created it. The offer cannot be edited. The cancellation date is shown in the last column of the list.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n
