Sending an e-invoice

If a company needs to send e-invoices but does not need to receive them, this can be done directly from SimplBooks without the need for a contract with an e-invoice operator.
Create a sales invoice, and after saving the invoice, select Actions -> Send Invoice. SimplBooks will automatically check the client’s registration code to see if the recipient has the ability to receive e-invoices. If they do, the option to send the invoice as an e-invoice will appear as the first choice.

To send the invoice, click the “Send e-invoice” button. The invoice will be sent to the client’s e-invoice operator portal, and from there, it will be forwarded to the client’s accounting software.

Possible error messages when sending e-invoices
The selected client does not accept e-invoices. If the client has confirmed to you that they do accept e-invoices, please check the entered registration code.

You are a new client, and the billing profile has not been reviewed. Go to My Profile -> Billing -> Manage Billing Conditions, check the company details, and save them. For more information, refer to the guide Billing profile (company details, plan change). The support article is in Estonian.

The e-invoice cannot be created because the company profile is missing the registration code, and the company’s bank account, where payments should be received, has not been added under Accounts and cash. These warnings may also appear separately.
If you have made corrections to the data, you will also need to update the sales invoice. Open the invoice for editing and save it again to refresh the necessary information on the invoice.

The e-invoice cannot be created because the client’s details have not been filled in correctly. Please go to the sales invoice, open it for editing, and update the client information.
